Barrenjoey High School has successfully applied to run a 5 day ski program for Year 11 2023 at the Jindabyne Sport and Recreation Camp.
The dates of this camp are: Sunday 10th September until Friday 15th September.
All camps organised by Barrenjoey High are an integral part of the school’s curriculum and form an important component of the students' learning program.
The Jindabyne camp has proven highly successful over the past 30 years in developing and nurturing social skills and achieving some subject based learning outcomes. Five full days of skiing or snowboarding allows students to experience and appreciate the alpine environment whilst learning (or enhancing) a new physical skill.
The camp also provides students with an opportunity to enhance or reflect on important areas of personal development such as:
- Group dynamics
- Leadership
- Team building
- Time management
- Youth issues
- Social interaction
- Personal growth
The full cost of this camp is $1,450. Included in this amount are:
- All meals (except lunch on the way down) and accommodation
- All activities at the camp
- All transport
- Lift passes / Ski Tube and National Parks entry
- Skiing/Snowboarding lessons
- Ski / Snowboard Hire
To help with budgeting, the following is a suggested outline of payments and we request that you take one of these options:
- May 15th Deposit $450
- June 2nd 2nd payment $250
- June 28th 3rd payment $250
- August 18th 4th payment $250
- September 1st Balance of $250
Full Payment will also be accepted on May 15th .
